About Me
Championing Gender Equality and Survivor-Led Reform
I am a survivor, an advocate, and a strategist dedicated to ending harmful practices that limit the rights and futures of women and girls.
My consultancy grew out of lived experience and a belief that survivors must help shape the policies and cultures that affect them.
My Journey
Growing up, I witnessed how cultural norms and outdated laws can endanger young people—especially girls.
Rather than accept those realities, I turned them into fuel for action.
Over the past decade, I have worked with governments, global brands, NGOs, and grassroots organisations to challenge gender-based violence and push for systemic change.
My work began with community outreach and survivor support, and quickly expanded into policy advocacy, strategic campaigns, and international speaking.
Along the way, I learned that lasting change requires both personal courage and collective effort: courageous survivors sharing their stories, and committed partners in policy, business, and civil society ready to listen and act.
Legislative & Policy Achievements
I have worked to help drive major reforms in the United Kingdom and beyond, including:
- Raising the legal age of marriage, protecting children from forced unions.
- Securing bans on virginity testing and hymenoplasty, ending invasive and harmful practices.
- Expanding the legal definition of honour-based abuse, ensuring survivors receive recognition and justice.
- Supporting the decriminalisation of abortion, safeguarding reproductive rights and healthcare access.
- Advising the Scottish Government as it works to raise the legal marriage age and strengthen protections for young people.
These victories were not achieved alone; they reflect the collective efforts of survivors, activists, policymakers, and community allies.
But they do show what is possible when evidence, empathy, and persistence come together.
What I Do Today
Through my consultancy, I now partner with corporations, nonprofits, governments, and international organisations to:
- Develop and deliver survivor-centred strategies that drive measurable progress on gender equality.
- Design and activate high-impact campaigns that change hearts, minds, and legislation.
- Train professionals and brand teams to work in trauma-informed, inclusive ways.
- Engage and mentor young people so they can become advocates for their own communities.
My services include keynote speaking, workshops, professional training, and strategic consulting for organisations of every size—from start-ups to national ministries.
Values & Approach
I believe that every project should be:
- Survivor-Informed: Voices of lived experience guide the work from start to finish.
- Evidence-Based: Policy and practice are rooted in research and data.
- Collaborative: True change happens through partnerships across sectors and cultures.
- Action-Oriented: Awareness is only the beginning; measurable outcomes matter.
Clients often tell me they appreciate my ability to connect deeply with audiences while providing concrete, actionable steps for change.
Whether speaking to a room of executives or facilitating a youth workshop, I aim to create spaces where difficult conversations lead to tangible solutions.
Looking Forward
The fight for gender equality is far from over.
Every law we change, every campaign we launch, and every professional we train brings us closer to a world where girls and women live free from violence and discrimination.
I invite you to join me—whether as a partner, client, or ally – in building that future.
